Who we are
MZD Consultoria is an Angolan-law company that began operating in 2010, headquartered in Luanda at Avenida 21 de Janeiro, no. 101, Bairro Morro Bento.
Its corporate purpose is the provision of accounting, tax and audit services, accounting, tax and financial consulting, condominium, environmental and project management, preparation of feasibility projects, legal advisory and professional technical training.
The team comprises 14 qualified professionals across accounting and finance, human resources, company incorporation and restructuring, and project preparation.

When we began operating in 2010, Angolan business was living — as it still is — through a growing demand for formalisation. Companies growing quickly needed finance structures that grew at the same pace, and did not always find the rigour they required.
That was the gap we set out to fill. Not merely to meet filing obligations, but to give management the information it needs to decide: reliable accounts, on time, with a clear reading of what they mean.
Over these years we have built a team of 14 professionals and a portfolio spanning industry, education, health, legal services and general trade. Each of these sectors has taught us something we apply to the others.
Our commitment for the years ahead is to deepen that technical capability and extend our presence across the Lusophone space, while preserving what defines us: genuine proximity to the client and full accountability for what we sign.

Strategic management structure
Four axes guide MZD's management decisions and how we allocate resources through the year.
Axis 1 · Compliance as the baseline
No service is delivered outside the Angolan legal framework. Compliance is not a desirable outcome — it is the minimum requirement of everything we do.
Axis 2 · Sustained technical competence
Permanent investment in keeping the team current with tax and labour change, and in sector specialisation.
Axis 3 · Long-term relationships
We prefer few deep relationships to many shallow engagements. The monthly retainer with on-site presence is our model of choice.
Axis 4 · Lusophone expansion
Consolidate our position in Angola and build capacity to serve clients operating across the Lusophone space, with a bilingual team and documentation.

Angola and the Lusophone space
The Angolan market is undergoing a deep process of business formalisation. The digitalisation of the General Tax Administration's services, the growing demand for reliable financial information from banks and investors, and the broadening of the contributory base place on companies a level of technical demand that many internal structures cannot meet alone.
It is in this context that accounting and tax consulting stops being an administrative cost and becomes a management instrument. A company with organised accounts can access credit, bid for public tenders, negotiate with international partners and withstand an inspection without alarm.
Sharing a Lusophone accounting tradition and the Portuguese language further creates a natural advantage in the circulation of skills between Angola, Portugal, Mozambique, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau and Timor-Leste. MZD is structured to serve companies operating in that space, with documentation and reporting available in Portuguese and English.
